Buyers snap up pupils’ works of art

An impressive exhibition featuring work by children at Uplands Primary School in Stroud was on display this week.

Entitled Our Big Ideas, the exhibition at Lansdown Hall and Gallery featured work by children of all ages, from reception class through to year 6.

“We had an art week last week and did a range of art works,” explained deputy headteacher, Kate Dempster.

“We’ve been really busy all week and have had more visitors than we expected. The children have been brilliant showing the visitors around the exhibition.”

All of the work was for sale and has so far raised more than £300 for school funds.
