Calling the tune: music therapist joins Stroud Town Council

Music therapist Rachel Smith has been co-opted to Stroud Town Council, writes Marianne Sweet.

Rachel, who grew up in Stroud, returned to Stroud in 2016 and lives with her husband and two children. She will represent Farmhill and Paganhill ward.

She is a qualified music therapist with extensive experience in adult social care. Rachel was previously elected to Gloucestershire County Council for one term. 

“I am delighted to be co-opted on to Stroud Town Council and have a particular interest in improving cycling conditions in and around the town,” said Rachel.
