Staff at Thistledown Farm, near Nympsfield, are appealing for green-fingered volunteers to help plant this weekend, March 5th and 6th.
They have just taken delivery of more than 2,000 trees and hedges, donated by Gloucestershire County Council to replace trees that were felled due to ash dieback.
“The trees are in a temporary nursery and it would be great to get as many hands on deck to plant these again on Saturday or Sunday,” said Clare Burkey.
“We are welcoming people from 9.30am each day and they can spend as long as they like with us at the farm. Refreshments will be provided. We just ask for volunteers to bring a spade or trowel and some gardening gloves.”
