Stroud Camera Club held its third competition this week, judged by Aleks Gjika, a very experienced and awarded photographer from Cheltenham.
Aleks always provides an excellent evening with perceptive critique and thoughtful insights into each image.

He is as entertaining as he is an excellent judge and his comments and feedback are always appreciated by all entrants.
The print entries showcased an impressive breadth of subject matter, from majestic whales to a farmer ploughing and horses jumping in a point to point.

The digital section proved equally strong, featuring a superb drone image of boats in an estuary to a brown bear in the water and a great image of three monkeys. It was encouraging to see several new members entering again.

The overall standard was excellent, and Aleks’s constructive judging made for an engaging and enjoyable evening for all.
