CARERS WEEK 2021: giving carers a nature break

MOST READ

As part of Carers Week this week, Stroud Valleys Project is running a special programme of activities designed to give carers a chance to take some time off and spend time in nature.

Starting out at Capel’s Mill in Stroud, carers can take part in conservation activities, guided nature exploration, foraging for ingredients to make a wild tea, go on a wildflower walk and much more.

Carers Week is an annual awareness campaign that celebrates and recognises the vital contribution of the UK’s unpaid carers – supporting family members and friends who are older, have a disability, mental or physical illness or need extra help as they grow older. The aim of Carers Week is to help make caring visible and valued. #CareForTheCarers

Other carers in nature events are being provided by:-
