Following a CCTV appeal earlier this afternoon in connection with a rape in Gloucester yesterday (Saturday 21 December), a man has now been identified and arrested.
Police have released CCTV images of a man they wanted to speak to in connection with a rape in the city centre that took place in the early hour yesterday, Saturday 21 December.
A 33-year-old man from Gloucester has been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in police custody at this time while enquiries continue.
Officers would like to thank the public for sharing our appeal and particularly to everyone who came forward to help identify the man.
