Chaos on the school-run

Parents travelling from Dursley to Wotton-under-Edge were faced with traffic chaos this morning.

Parents were forced to find an alternative route after discovering roadworks, at The Avenue, Stinchcombe.

The road to Katherine Lady Berkeley’s School is closed until May 5th.

One mum told Stroud Times: “I had no idea about the closure and had to go back into Dursley and up Whiteway Hill to get to Wotton, which meant I was late taking my son to KLB (Katharine Lady Berkeley’s) – it was utter chaos.”

Another reader said: “I was supposed to take my father to Yearcombe Lodge Day Centre this morning, but I had to turn back, so he wasn’t able to attend.”
