Longfield Community Hospice have announced that the last day of trading for their Painswick shop will be this Friday, February 13th.

After many years serving the community in Painswick, the lease on the shop in Bisley Street has come to a natural end and is not being renewed.

Longfield Staff are being redeployed to work at other Longfield stores

Debbie Linton, Head of Commerce and Estates at Longfield Hospice, said: “Losing shops that are the hub of a community is always a difficult decision to make. We are incredibly grateful to our staff and volunteers who have run this shop over the years and to everyone who has shopped with us, or donated items. Your support has contributed to hospice care in Gloucestershire.

“We look forward to welcoming the Painswick community at our nearby shops in Stroud, Gloucester and Cheltenham and encourage them to continue to use our services around end of life and bereavement care.”
