The cheapest and most expensive areas to buy a property in Stroud have been revealed.

A new report, using data from the Office of National Statistics, has ranked all neighbourhoods in Stroud based on their average house prices as well as their total house sales, for the year ending March 2024.

Painswick, Eastcombe and Bisley has been revealed as the most expensive, with Stonehouse being the cheapest town to buy a home, closely followed by Ebley and Randwick.

The report has been compiled by Online Marketing Surgery (OMS) and Cardinal Steels. OMS says: “As inflation continues to climb, finding a mortgage that is both affordable and fair has turned into a growing hurdle, particularly for those purchasing their first home. This challenge has resulted in numerous individuals either delaying their plans to move or opting for rentals instead, underscoring the urgent need for more accessible housing options.

“In response to these recent trends, here at Online Marketing Surgery, a leading digital marketing agency in Staffordshire, in partnership with our client Cardinal Steels, have compiled a detailed report. This report analyses and ranks the latest data from different neighbourhoods across England and Wales based on average house prices as well as their property sales. Our goal is to highlight the most and least favourable places for property purchases. Equipping potential homeowners and investors with critical insights for navigating the dynamic real estate market.”
