Forest Green boss Steve Cotterill has appointed Russell Milton as chief scout.
Milton,55, left the Robins this summer and previously played under Cotterill at Cheltenham Town as a cultured midfielder after arriving from Dover Athletic.
He spent one year as the Robins’ head of recruitment after eight years as assistant manager, also taking caretaker charge on several occasions.
He helped the club win three promotions and the FA Trophy.
Milton met the squad today as they trained at the New Lawn training pitch.
On his arrival, Milton told Forest Green’s Josh Evans: “The timing has been perfect and a great one to transition into.
“I’m looking forward to trying to replicate some of those successes that I’ve had before here at Forest Green now.
“This role suits perfectly and it’s one I’ve been relishing and can’t wait to get my teeth into.”
