Formed by members of Minchinhampton RFC, Jason Richards and Jonathan Hughes, and with former England World Cup winner Mike Tindall on board, The Rugby Wine Club aims to support grassroots clubs through sales of their wine (see video above).

Produced at an organic vineyard in France, sales of each bottle of the red, white and rose wines will guarantee a 50p donation to the nominated club.

“Clubs don’t have to invest any money or stock wine – their members buy direct from The Rugby Wine Club (TRWC),” explained founder member Jason Richards.

“We’re just asking people to switch their spending from supermarkets to TRWC. The rewards are significant – if a club’s members and friends buy 100 cases over a year the club will receive £3,600 – a sizeable amount for a grassroots club.”
