Clare Honeyfield: no FOMO for me as I choose to embrace fun experiences

MOST READ

I was doing some work with clients this spring and had a ‘light bulb moment’– that the reason I had been experiencing a bit of FOMO (Fear of missing out).

I hadn’t been fully embracing my true spirit by creating fun experiences. I’d been so focussed on getting stuff done that I temporarily missed the point of working – to create choices and to be able to contribute and to have fun. Ever since I really embraced ‘adventure’ as one of my top values, I have been busy doing all sorts of fun stuff.

So after a summer of sailing, joining Stroud Boxing Gym (check it out), camping out (in an actual tent) solo travelling, enjoying sea swimming and early morning yoga under lemon trees on the Greek Islands and even going to Germany by myself to crew on Fire Team at Tony Robbins UPW, I’m certainly ready to settle into the cosiness of autumn home-making and long evenings.

By the luck of birth, we have so many choices and opportunities and I’m embracing them all while I have the opportunity.

So I’m off for one more little adventure of sun, hiking, yoga and swimming before it’s hibernation weather here.

As I often hear, “we’re here for a good time, not a long time”

Do what makes you glow.
