The team at Five Valleys is preparing to celebrate the much-loved indoor market’s first birthday, tomorrow, Saturday, July 3.
The weekend of celebrations will include exciting entertainment – from musicians, magicians and crafting activities along with a competition to win a market hamper and lots of giveaways.
The Five Valleys indoor market officially opened on July 1, last year, and has welcomed a host of local artisan traders to its line up including Armadeli, Waghornes Butchers, the Artisan Baker, Thai 2 Go, Pieminister and many more.
Essential market traders remained open throughout lockdown, providing the local community with a safe way to support independent trader’s whist out shopping for their essential items.
Now restrictions are easing, the Market is back to hosting its popular monthly night market on the last Friday of every month and an exciting diary of summer events are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
The various seating areas within the Market have also now reopened with plenty of space for visitors to relax and enjoy food from around the world.
Jessica Derham, Five Valleys Market and Events Manager said: “Our indoor market has brought an exciting, modern market concept to Stroud and we are proud to give local shoppers and visitors a completely unique dining experience unlike anything else in the area.
“Our traders are really looking forward to celebrating the market’s first birthday next month, after a difficult year we are delighted that we are able to mark the occasion with our friends and visitors, with lots of delicious food samples from our traders, complimentary fizz and live entertainment!”
Five Valleys will celebrate the first birthday of the indoor market from 10am-5pm on Saturday.
