The Cotswold Players will be embarking on a Playerthon, a 24-hour fund raising challenge to raise money for the Gloucestershire charity, Teens in Crisis (TIC+).

The event will begin at 10am on Saturday, March 27th, and will feature readings of poems, novels, plays and all forms of drama, continuously through day and night until Sunday morning.

The readings will be performed live on Zoom and broadcast simultaneously on Facebook and YouTube. Readings of plays will involve a cast of individuals, each of whom will take part at their own location. The readings will include works by many well-known writers which is no longer subject to copyright.

TIC+ has provided specialist help and counselling for children and young people aged 9 to 21 with mental health issues since 1994. The charity supports those with issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, bullying, anger, relationship problems, low self-esteem and self-harm. They have built a reputation as a caring, professional and flexible organisation and each year receive hundreds of referrals from statutory and voluntary sector professionals across Gloucestershire and surrounding areas.
