A cyclist has sustained serious injuries following an incident in Stroud last night (Sunday) and police are appealing for witnesses.
At around 7.55pm there was a single-vehicle collision on Westward Road in Ebley which involved a black electric bike.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 40s and from Stroud, came off the bike and sustained a serious head injury.
He was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol by paramedics and he remains there today, Monday 10 July.
No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.
Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam footage prior to what took place to come forward.
