Forest Green Rovers have appointed Marcus Reynolds as their new chief executive.
Reynolds is a former CEO of the New Zealand Rugby League and Tennis Auckland, while he was also a senior adviser for Sport New Zealand.
He replaces Henry Staelens who left the club in January after five years.
“We think we’ve found an ideal combination of experience and character,” Forest Green chairman Dale Vince said in a club statement.
“Marcus has a great background and focus in all the key areas that we’re looking for and I’m really looking forward to him getting started.”
Reynolds, who will join the club on June 1, said: “I am humbled to be appointed as the next CEO of Forest Green Rovers. This is a unique club that makes a genuine difference on and off the pitch, I’m excited about the opportunities ahead and can’t wait to get involved.
“Most of all I’m looking forward to meeting the staff, fans, partners and wider community, as well as providing the support our team need to perform at their highest level.”
