Date set for Stroud shop closure

Shoe Zone will close its doors in the new year.

The popular retailer placed ‘closing down’ signs in its window last month, but Stroud Times now understands the doors on the Stroud High Street will close in January.

In May Shoe Zone announced it was closing the doors on more than a dozen stores and in recent months the bargain shoe giant announced a string of closures.

Shoe Zone can be considered a staple of the British high street having been around since the 1980s and recently boasted more than 300 stores.
