Stonehouse Town produced a superb display to claim a 4–1 away victory over Ludlow Town in Hellenic League Division One.
After falling behind early, Jamol Dare struck twice to turn the game around before Fin Rees and debutant Dan Gayner added further goals to seal an emphatic win.
Manager Coyle was delighted with the response from his side: “Really pleased for the lads to get the win, and it’s another game where we’ve had to come from behind again,” he said. “Not ideal, but it shows great character.”
Coyle credited the team’s fitness and recent hard work in training for their strong finish.
“We’ve given the lads a really tough three or four weeks at training and been really demanding in our intensity at games. I think today it showed why we did it — we looked fit, strong, and ended the game really well. It looked like we could play another 20 minutes.”
New signing Gayner came off the bench to score the fourth goal and earn praise from his manager.
“He gave us exactly what we needed when he came on with his runs and energy,” Coyle added.
