Dursley Town 5-4 Falcons

Karl Nash’s Dursley Town edged out plucky Falcons in a nine-goal Reg Davis Cup thriller.

Town got off to flyer with new signing Dan McNally bagging a brace and Aaron Nash scoring from the spot. Falcons responded and a topsy-turvy cup tie saw the match poised at 3-3. Aaron Nash nosed Town ahead with his second penalty of the game and a Falcons own goal made it 5-3 to Dursley.

Falcons pulled a goal back in the dying embers of the game, but Dursley saw the tie out.

Dursley boss Karl Nash said: “Overall, I’m pleased, it was first game syndrome and we can be much more clinical in front of goal, but a positive result against a hard working Falcons side.”
