Ebley Bypass closed due to serious collision

The A419 Ebley Bypass is closed in both directions this afternoon.

A number of emergency services vehicles are in attendance, and an eyewitness reported seeing the air ambulance landing at Ebley Meadows.

On social media Gloucestershire Constabulary wrote: ‘Emergency services are currently at the scene of a two-vehicle collision on the A419 Ebley Bypass near Stroud.

‘Police were called at around 4.40pm this evening to a report of a serious collision.

‘The A419 is currently closed in both directions between the turn-off for Kings Stanley and the roundabout close to Sainsbury’s.

‘Motorists are advised to find alternative routes at this time.’
