UPDATED: Emergency services attend incident in Stroud

The emergency services were this morning scrambled to a stretch of the canal at Bowbridge.

An eyewitness said: “I spotted fire engines, fire response with boats and NHS incident response flying past towards Bowbridge, with the amount of emergency vehicles, it doesn’t look good.”

Another eyewitness added: “They had report of a woman in the river, but no one was found and they look to be packing up.”
