Entries for The Stroud Half Marathon are open as the race returns for its 43rd year on Sunday, October 26, 9am from the Marling School Playing Field on Cainscross Road.
Entries open from 5pm, today, Monday.
Catherine Rands, events manager for organisers Race Nation, said: “The event promises to be bigger and better than ever, we are expecting this mainly flat and fast, one-lap route to be a sell out event this year.
“The event opens with a Super Duper Early Bird Entry for the first 250 people who sign up.
“The event raises large sums of money for local charities – the event charity partners are The Door https://thedoor.org.uk/ and Longfield Hospice https://longfield.org.uk/
“We also support Stroud Food Bank, Allsorts Gloucestershire and The Esme Orike Foundation. Plus many athletes raise funds through sponsorship for their own charities. The event is supported by Stroud AC.”
Race Nation are looking for local business to sponsor the race – anyone interested can email info@racenationevents.com
