An ‘erotic circus’ is returning to Stroud.
After the success of two sell-out shows last year, Love Circus returns with a brand new line up for Valentine’s, performing for one night only on Monday, February 12th at Lansdown Hall, featuring glamourous burlesque artists, pole dancers, hula-hoopers, poets, jugglers and acrobats.
Burlesque performer Ana Toxin brings a juxtaposition of sultry, sweet, silly, and of course strange, with her dark theatrical telling of a girlfriend on the brink of breakdown.
“We’re blown away by the amount of creative and inspiring performers working in the area,” said Kai Gwynn, producer. “It was a tough job casting the show, when so many talented people wanted to be involved.”

Alongside juggling and circus tricks, there will also be spoken word performances from poet Jelly, who draws inspiration from her life as a new age traveller to cover topics from mental health to motherhood and illegal raves.
“Love Circus is beginning to get a real following – our audience knows that we will bring them plenty of surprises, laughs, gasps and naughtiness,” Kai promises. “Stroud crowds have high standards – but we’ve got tricks up our sleeve to keep them satisfied!”
Hula-hoop act from Rafi, a Circomedia-trained artist, has performed across the world at Glastonbury Festival and Burning Man and pole-dancer Miami twists around the pole in a range of impressive holds.
Kai takes to the stage to showcase his devilstick tricks, as well as keeping the audience entertained with his original comedy material.
The nostalgic smell of freshly-made popcorn will fill Lansdown Hall, and chef Sia Holmes will be providing traditional circus hotdogs to satisfy your appetite (with vegan and gluten free options available). With a fully-licenced bar and grown-up atmosphere, this is the perfect Valentine’s night-out.
Standard tickets cost £15 each. For a special treat, a limited amount of VIP tickets are available at £25, which include a complimentary glass of fizz, popcorn, and gourmet hotdog.
Love Circus Valentine’s Cabaret performs for one night only at Lansdown Hall at 7.30pm on 12th February 2024. Doors open at 7pm. For more details and to book visit https://trybooking.com/uk/dbbq
