Erotic circus show comes to Stroud

Love Circus’s Valentine’s Cabaret is a brand-new adults-only circus, performing for one night only on Monday, February 13th.

It features the hottest local talent including glamourous burlesque dancers and acrobats.

The show is produced and directed by Kai Gwynn, a Stroud resident who has over a decade of experience in circus arts.

“I will be hosting the show with a mix of comedy, juggling, magic and love. This has been a real creative venture from start to finish.”

The cast includes an acrobatic duo, fire performers, hula hoops, and two girls contorting skilfully on a circus pole.

“There will be plenty of surprises,” Kai promises. “Expect erotic behaviour, crude sexual humour, and damn good circus tricks.”

Burlesque performer Peaches L’Amore will be dazzling the crowds with her stunning feather and fan artistry. A true showgirl, Peaches celebrates the female form with her long flowing red locks and notorious peachy bum.

A handstand gymnast displays impressive strength and power, and skilled contact-juggler Edwin surprises the audience with some flaming-hot pyrotechnics.

Amongst the hilarious and subversive turns is a queer love story between two acrobatic penguins who attempt to co-parent an egg against all the odds. This deliciously dorky duo show us how love conquers all, even where grace and dexterity are lacking.

Standard tickets cost £15 each. For a special treat, a limited amount of VIP tickets are available at £25, which include a complimentary glass of prosecco, and a VIP snack box created by local chef Sia Holmes.

The VIP menu includes aphrodisiac delicacies fit for a stellar circus, including caramelised red onion fil pastry parcels, chewy pretzel sticks with garlic dip, and chocolate ganache (suitable for vegans).

“With a fully licenced bar and a grown-up atmosphere, this isn’t your standard circus,” says co-producer Rosie Clarke.

“We can’t wait to bring a little magic to our home crowd.”

Love Circus Valentine’s Cabaret opens at Lansdown Hall at 7.30pm on 13th February. Doors open at 7pm. For more details and to book visit www.trybooking.co.uk/ccgv

Letter to the editor: GlosWomen’s response to Dr Simon Opher’s article

Dear editor, it was good to see Simon Opher’s account of his meeting with Chrissie Lowery from the Night Angels - women working hard to provide front line support and, impressively, funding this themselves. We really admire and respect the women doing this important work.
