Forest Green’s game against Exeter City is their latest match to fall foul of Covid.

Forest Green players can look forward to a rare Christmas with their families after the Grecians informed the EFL that it would be unable to fulfil the December 29th fixture at The Fully Charged New Lawn due to a number of positive COVID-19 cases in their squad.

Rob Edwards’ league leaders last kicked a ball in anger on Saturday, December 11 when they were held to a thrilling 5-5 draw at Oldham.

So far, and including Exeter, Rovers have seen matches against Mansfield, Colchester and the Boxing Day clash at Newport County called off due to Covid cases within the squad.

Rovers’ next scheduled game is the New Year’s Day clash at home to Stevenage.
