A new family-run laundry business has recently opened in Nailsworth.

Situated near Bruton’s Hardware shop and Walker’s bakery, Liz’s Laundry is run by Liz Gardner, her daughter Paige, along with Vikki Trinder and Rachel Pegler.

Liz has introduced Nailsworth Washday Wednesday, a community service supporting independent living: “Rachel runs Doodledays art therapy and combines this with free delivery and pick-up of people’s laundry so they can retain their independence,” explained Liz.

The business welcomes people calling in to drop off their laundry and can also arrange collection if required. The laundry’s three industrial sized washing machines and three driers are kept busy, washing items from pubs, Airbnb’s and other hospitality businesses. They also offer a dry-cleaning service and an industrial bedding press.

“We’re a family business and we’re keen to grow, so we’d welcome new customers,” added Liz. More details can be found on the Facebook page.
