The countdown to Christmas in Stroud begins this Friday as Five Valleys hosts its annual Christmas Lights Switch-On, proudly sponsored by Montpellier Legal, the multi-award-winning Gloucestershire conveyancing firm.

The festive fun runs from 6pm to 8pm, with the big switch-on at 6:15pm, led by TV motoring presenter and Montpellier Legal COO Nick Ponting, who will illuminate the centre with sparkling seasonal magic. Well-know broadcaster and Stroud Times’ journalist Faye Hatcher will be leading the official countdown.

Visitors can enjoy a late-night food market, festive treats, entertainment in the Food Hall, and meet-and-greet appearances from favourite Christmas characters—perfect for families and children getting into the festive spirit.

Christmas decorations are already in place across the centre, including stunning garlands along the upper mall where the switch-on moment will take place.

Assistant Centre Manager Mollie Phillips said: “The lights switch-on is always one of our favourite events of the year. It’s a brilliant way to bring the community together, support our local traders, and celebrate the start of the festive season.”

Montpellier Legal, which operates an office in Five Valleys, is proud to support this major community celebration. Recognised as one of Gloucestershire’s leading conveyancing specialists, the firm is committed to championing local events.

Chief Operating Officer Nick Ponting added: “We’re thrilled to be sponsoring this year’s Christmas Lights Switch-On at Five Valleys. It’s a fantastic community event and a wonderful way to celebrate the season with our neighbours here in Stroud.”

The evening promises festive fun, great food, and a joyful atmosphere as Five Valleys officially lights up Stroud for the start of the Christmas season.
