New Forest Green boss Duncan Ferguson has returned to his former club to draft in midfielder Tyler Onyango on loan from Everton until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old – who has known Ferguson since he was nine – has spent the first half of the season on loan at Burton Albion but has put pen to paper on a loan deal at The Bolt New Lawn.

The 6ft 4ins box-to-box midfielder will bring a real presence and energy to the Rovers side.

Stevie Grieve, Head of Performance & Recruitment, said: “We’re really excited to welcome Tyler to The Bolt New Lawn. His outstanding performances for Burton this season made him a desirable player to bring to FGR.

“We can’t wait to watch his development and we’re sure he’ll help the team win more matches.”
