Fitness studio opens

James Hilton, a former corporate professional turned passionate personal trainer, has opened his own private personal training studio in his home town of Stroud.

This achievement fulfils a dream that James never imagined pursuing just a few years ago. After spending 15 years in London chasing success and finding himself increasingly unhappy, James reached a turning point. Driven by his rediscovered passion for fitness, he embarked on a journey that led him back to Stroud, where he has now now opened his own private fitness studio.

Reflecting on his journey, James said: “If you had asked me five years ago what I would be doing today, opening a gym in Stroud wouldn’t have crossed my mind. But here I am, and it’s truly remarkable.

“I work almost exclusively with people over 50 years old. I specialise in helping people overcome injury, and chronic pain, but my sweet spot is helping people find enjoyment in exercise.”

Designed with the client in mind, his studio offers a private setting – a stark contrast to the crowded and impersonal atmosphere of many traditional gyms. In the studio, James will offer his one-to-one clients a fully tailored exercise experience designed to to get them from A to B as efficiently as possible, in a private space with no waiting to use equipment.

Furnished with state-of-the-art equipment tailored for cardio, strength, agility, and balance training, James’s gym provides a comprehensive fitness experience that caters to the unique needs of each client.

“I understand the challenges of ageing, and I have meticulously selected the equipment and crafted the environment to address this,” said James.

Additionally, the studio boasts a dedicated filming space, allowing James to produce engaging workout content for his online subscription service, Jim’s Gym which costs £9.99 a month. James launched Jim’s Gym in September last year, an online ‘space’ supporting people over 50 to lead a more active life wherever they live.

With his ‘real’ studio now open too, James remains dedicated to offering fad-free, expert training and support surrounding health and wellness in later life and providing evidence-based information that empowers his clients as they age. He’s offering a 90 day programme for new clients for a limited period. For more information, visit https://www.jameshilton.fitness
