The Five Valleys team are embracing the official start to summer this week when summer solstice marks the end of spring.
The centre’s new outdoor Courtyard will become a hive of activity on Saturday with a live DJ playing summer sets throughout the afternoon and free body and face glitter art on offer from 12 noon until 2pm.
Complementing the centre’s extensive food offer, pop up food vendors will be joining the courtyard space with freshly cooked paella and tasty authentic Caribbean food. Ice creams will also be provided from the traditional ice cream cart to cool people down.
The giant table tennis and table football will be free for visitors to enjoy or shoppers can just soak up the atmosphere enjoying the good beats and delicious eats that are on offer throughout the day.
Five Valleys will also be welcoming The Tippled Fox cocktail bar to the space for those wanting to enjoy a hand shaken summer cocktail to really get into the festival spirit.
Centre Manager for Five Valleys, Jack Simpson, said: “We’re celebrating the start of summer this weekend with a festival vibe at the Courtyard. We have ordered sunshine, great music and plenty of glitter to add some sparkle to your week.
“We have some great traders joining us to complement the wide range of street food already on offer from our market traders.”
Alongside food and music the shopping centre has a wide range of independent shops to visit including Sandersons Boutique who are offering 30% off Superdry and 50% off Soya Concept for a limited time only.
The centre will be open until 8:30pm this Friday, all day Saturday and from 11 until 3pm on Sunday as the centre extends their opening hours to seven days a week.
