Foodbank seeks new trustees to help shape its future

MOST READ

Stroud District Foodbank is inviting applications for new Trustees to join its Board and help guide the charity’s work supporting people in crisis across the district.

With the rising cost of living continuing to place pressure on many households, the need for the foodbank’s support remains high. Trustees play a vital role in providing leadership, governance, and strategic direction, ensuring the charity continues to meet its mission of supporting those in need with compassion, dignity, and care.

“These are key voluntary roles for anyone who wants to make a difference in our community,” said Amanda-Jane Strover, Head of Foodbank.

“We’re looking for people who bring experience, enthusiasm, and a shared commitment to helping us tackle poverty and hardship across Stroud.”

Trustees attend around six main meetings each year, with additional opportunities to support the charity’s work between meetings. The Board is particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience in HR, PR/Communications, risk management, or personal experience of poverty, though all applications are welcome.

If you’re 18 or over and passionate about supporting your local community, this is an opportunity to use your skills and experience to help shape the future of a much-needed local charity.

To request an application pack or find out more, please email admin@strouddistrictfoodbank.org.uk

Closing date: 20th October 2025
