Forest Green have confirmed that Laurent Mendy will be the club’s captain for the upcoming season.
After sharing the captaincy with Kyle McAllister and Jordan Moore-Taylor last season, Mendy has now been named the club’s permanent captain.
The decision reflects Mendy’s growing influence at The New Lawn. After joining the club, he quickly established himself as a key figure, with manager Robbie Savage after arriving from Macclesfield last season.

The announcement also comes after Forest Green rejected interest in Mendy from Hearts earlier this year, underlining the club’s determination to keep one of their most important players as they prepare for the new campaign.
Summer signing Kyle Ajayi, who joined from National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town, has been named Forest Green Rovers’ vice-captain.
