Nailing his colours to the mast, Forest Green boss Robbie Savage has said Rovers will always take priority over his punditry duties.
He will continue his media work with the BBC, specifically on his Five Live – 606 phone-in show on Sundays alongside co-presenter Chris Sutton, however, he told Stroud Times he has now stepped away from Saturday media appearances with the BBC.
His juggling act has been given the thumbs-up by the New Lawn top brass – chairman Dale Vince, vice chairman Asif Rehmanwala and director of football Mark Bowen.

Savage told sports editor Ash Loveridge: “Dale (Vince) is happy to embrace that. I love 606, but I’m going to be giving it up on a Saturday. On a Sunday, I will watch our game back, watch Premier League Football and I can do 606 with Chris (Sutton) – that’s my day watching football anyway and Dale and Asif have said that will be good.”
Savage also co-presents Early Kick Off on TNT Sports, he added: “When I do TNT Sports, at times you do the National League and you can spot players – and I’m allowed to do that as well – but if that gets in the way, Forest Green comes first, so we know that.”
