Forest Green manager Robbie Savage has moved quickly to dismiss speculation linking the club with a move for Wealdstone captain Deon Woodman and former Hartlepool striker Alex Reid.

Savage poured cold water on the rumours in a brief response on X, formerly Twitter. Reacting to claims that Forest Green were set to pursue the defender, the Rovers boss replied: “No we are not,” followed by a folded hands emoji.

Former QPR defender Woodman is believed to be on the radar of several clubs, among them League One outfit Wigan Athletic.

Meanwhile, Savage also shut down speculation surrounding Reid, responding to the link with a simple: “No we aren’t,” accompanied by a folded hands emoji.
