CEO of Dale Vince’s Green Britain Group and Forest Green vice-chairman Asif Rehmanwala stated : “During the year, the New Lawn staged 28 (2023: 30) match day events comprising 23 League Two games and five domestic cup games. Ahead of the 2023/24 season, the Club was relegated back to League Two due to poor on field performance.”

“Off the pitch, it was a turbulent season and saw several key personnel changes such as a new manager in January 2024 and departure of the CEO in early 2024. Therefore, due to continued poor performance on the pitch, the club was relegated to the National League ahead of the 2024/25 season.
“This was also paired with a general increase in the costs of running events in line with the general cost of living trends across the UK economy.
“Administrative expenses increased to £3,956,335 (2023: £3,599,021) due to costs increasing across the board. As a result, the company has made a loss before tax of £3,270,424.”
