Long-serving Forest Green defender Udoka Godwin-Malife has joined Swindon Town.
The defender’s contract at The New Lawn expired this summer – and despite talks with the club to extend his stay, Godwin-Malife has opted to join the Robins.
Godwin-Malife joined Rovers under Mark Cooper in January 2019 from non-league Oxford City – and went on to make 128 appearances for the club.
He arrived at the club as a teenager with few senior appearances under his belt, but he leaves having played an integral role in Rovers’ success over the last four-and-a-half-years, most notably in the League Two title win in 2022.
A club spokesperson said: “We’d like to thank Dokes for all his years of service at The New Lawn – and everybody at FGR wishes him all the best at Swindon.”
