Forest Green head coach sends a good luck message to Gareth Southgate

Schooled under England boss Gareth Southgate, new Forest Green head coach Rob Edwards has heaped praise on his former boss ahead of tonight’s Euro 2020 semi-final clash against Denmark.

Edwards and assistant coach Richie Kyle worked within the England youth set up, where their friendships with Southgate were forged.

Edwards said: “I’ve dropped him a text, as has Richie (Kyle). The fact that he always gets back to you shows the measure of the man, because of the number of messages he must get and the pressure he has on him. He’s a really good person and you want him to do well. Somehow, he finds time to get back to everyone and we all wish him well.”
