Reflo has been announced as Forest Green Rovers new official travel wear supplier.
Backed by ambassador investor and England captain Harry Kane, Reflo is paving the way for change, as leaders within the sustainable sportswear market. Reflo has secured multiple partnerships across a range of sports including football, golf, padel, training and running.
After being introduced during their pre-season tour matches in Germany, Reflo will be directly involved as the kit manufacturer for all first team travel.
Over the last decade in particular, Forest Green Rovers has collaborated with a number of like-minded organisations who are all working towards making the world more sustainable. It is essential that the club does not work with any company that might undermine that cause and great care is taken when revealing any collaboration or partnership.
Reflo is a performance wear brand on a mission to change the sportswear game, for good – by becoming the most sustainable sportswear brand in the world. Reflo specialises in sustainable, technical sportswear for partners, teams and athletes at all levels. With so many aligned goals, and with sustainability at the core, this becomes an obvious partnership as both brands continue to make a positive difference in sport.
Rory MacFadyen, Co-Founder of Reflo, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating:“Brand values don’t often align as perfectly as Reflo and Forest Green Rovers. As a British company committed to becoming the most sustainable sportswear brand in the world, we have naturally admired the work of Forest Green Rovers for many years. Taking this admiration and building it into a partnership is the natural next step.
“Reflo prioritises the sourcing, design and development of recycled and circular teamwear, as well as the provision of sustainable packaging, delivery services, waste management and wider environmental initiatives. We are continually dedicated to making a tangible impact on the environment and wider communities, having to date, recycled the equivalent of over 1 million plastic bottles, offset over 400 tonnes of carbon, planted over 100,000 trees and supported causes through monetary and resource contributions. We look forward to working alongside the team at Forest Green Rovers and achieving new milestone moments alongside the club.”
Dale Vince, Chairman of Forest Green Rovers, sees this partnership as a critical move in the club’s ongoing sustainability efforts, he said:
“Our pursuit of sustainability continues, we’re not resting on any eco laurels at FGR – but rather we’re constantly looking for ways to improve. Teaming up with Reflo is going to help us do that and help them reach a new audience with their great approach to football kit – it’s eco-symbiosis.
“Forest Green Rovers is an important part of the local community but we also have a voice on the global stage. We want to create a truly sustainable football club and engage with a new, large and passionate audience. Understanding the shared values we have with Reflo and seeing the work they are doing around product manufacturing, recycling and waste management, this partnership became an obvious choice and we look forward to working with them this season.”
