Forest Green manager Steve Cotterill has revealed he will be in charge of recruitment as the club continue to operate without a director of football.
Last month, Rovers parted company with director of football Allan Steele, who replaced Stevie Grieve in May 2023 after the latter lasted just five months in post, taking the mantle from previous director of football Richard Hughes, who left for Portsmouth. Rovers have operated without a recruitment specialist since.
However, speaking at tonight’s fans’ forum, Cotterill said: “I will take recruitment. We will probably get some more scouts in the football club that will be out on the road. The rest will be down to my knowledge and meeting them. I need to know the rest of the player fits what we need.”
Forest Green also without a CE0 after they parted company with Marcus Reynolds, who was appointed in March 2023.
