Forest Green Rovers have signed Jili Buyabu from Sheffield United on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old, who operates predominantly down the left side, began his senior career with Hornchurch before making a rapid rise to join the Blades in 2021. Last season, Buyabu enjoyed a productive loan spell with National League side Rochdale, making 24 appearances, including a visit to The New Lawn in January 2025.
He made his professional debut with Sheffield United as a substitute in a 2–1 win over Birmingham City on May 8,2023.
Forest Green boss Robbie Savage welcomed the signing, saying: “We’re very happy to get Jili into the building, adding both competition and quality. He will no doubt add to the depth we’re creating in all positions and we’re grateful to Sheffield United for allowing him to develop with us.”
Buyabu becomes Rovers’ 12th signing of the summer and will wear the number 24 shirt.
