Forest Green to face Coventry City and Everton U21s during pre-season

Forest Green will welcome Championship play-off finalists Coventry City and Everton Under-21s to The Bolt New Lawn for pre-season friendlies next month.

Rovers will start their pre-season campaign with a trip to Melksham Town on Wednesday, July 5, with kick-off at 7:45pm.

Duncan Ferguson’s side will go away on a week-long training camp the following week, before returning to face Coventry City at 7pm on Tuesday, July 18.

Rovers will then be back in action at The Bolt New Lawn just 24 hours later, as Everton Under-21s visit Nailsworth.

A trip to Home Park on Saturday, July 22 (3pm) to take on Plymouth Argyle will prove to be a useful test for Rovers, with Steven Schumacher’s side fresh off the back of winning the League One title with over 100 points last season.

Rovers complete their pre-season campaign with another exciting home friendly on Friday, July 28. Full details will be announced in due course.
