Flash floods have caused Forest Green’s game at home to Accrington Stanley to be postponed, tonight.

The Bolt New Lawn was deemed unplayable after a torrential downpour, which saw the Another Way car park also flooded.

“It is the right decision, I was on the pitch with the referee and John (Coleman) their manager, and it’s unbelievable how fast the rain has come down,” said FGR boss Ian Burchnall.

A new fixture date will be announced in due course, with another trip to Nailsworth having to be re-scheduled into both sides’ congested fixture lists.

“It’s completely out of our control and we agreed that this is quite a freak situation. Nature has ruled it out,” added Burchnall.
