Tuesday’s Papa John’s Trophy fixture between Forest Green Rovers and Brighton U21s has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at The Fully Charged New Lawn.
With rain of Biblical proportions falling on the playing surface, match referee Antony Coggins called the game off an hour before kick-off.
Forest Green boss Rob Edwards was set to blood five academy players and get game time into Baily Cargill, Josh March, Ebou Adams, Josh March, Lewis Thomas, Sadou Diallo, and Jack Evans ahead of Rovers long trip to Carlisle United on Saturday.
