Former Forest Green manager Duncan Ferguson has been named the new manager of struggling Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The ex- Scotland, Newcastle and Everton striker has penned a three-year contract with the club currently bottom of the Scottish Championship.
Ferguson, who replaces the sacked Billy Dodds, took his first steps in management with Dale Vince’s Forest Green in January after the departure of Ian Burchnall.
Ferguson claimed his first victory in his tenth attempt, a shock 1-0 win over a Sheffield Wednesday side who eventually sealed promotion to the Championship.
However, it would prove to be the only win of his tenure as seven defeats and one draw were amassed in the remaining eight games of the season as Rovers were relegated from League One.
