Former Forest Green boss in Swindon Town frame

Former Forest Green boss Mark Cooper could be set for a sensational return to Swindon Town.

Cooper is in the running, according to the bookies, pricing him at 16-1 to replace Ben Garner who quit to join Charlton Athletic this week, with former Forest Green assistant manager Scott Lindsey also expected to make the switch to The Valley.

Cooper is now being tipped for a second stint at the League Two outfit, where he steered Town to fourth place in League One in 2015 after beating Sheffield United in the play-off semi-finals they lost out to Preston in the final.

Cooper was dismissed by Barrow after joining the Bluebirds last summer.
