Former Forest Green and Shortwood coach Josh Loveridge has joined County League outfit Sharpness.
Loveridge left Shortwood United last season after popular former boss Matt Blythe was shown the door by the Nailsworth club.
Loveridge cut his managerial teeth in the youth set up at Forest Green before going on to work at Brimscombe, Frampton, and latterly Shortwood, he said: “I’m buzzing to be joining Sharpness. I’ve been itching to get back into football for a while and this is the perfect opportunity for me.”
Loveridge is hoping his experience at County League level will help the Sharks progress: ” I know the County League well, so I’ve got a good understanding of what’s needed going forward. I’ve watched the club closely over the last few years, having competed against them during my time at Frampton. The club is ambitious, I’m ambitious and this is the perfect opportunity for me.”
Sharpness AFC pre-season training will commence on Tuesday, June 21st at Hamfields Leisure, 6.45pm.
