Former Forest Green favourite in frame to replace Mark Cooper at Yeovil

Yeovil Town are considering Weston-super-Mare boss Scott Bartlett as their leading candidate to replace Mark Cooper, according to The Non-League Paper.

Bartlett, who began his playing career at Bournemouth and later captained Salisbury City, also featured for Bath City before finishing his playing days at Forest Green Rovers. He moved into coaching at the New Lawn, becoming academy manager and briefly serving as caretaker in 2016, when he led Rovers in the National League play-off final at Wembley against Grimsby Town, losing 3-1 in the final. During is time at the helm of Rovers’ academy he worked under David Hockaday ,Ady Pennock and Cooper.

Since taking charge of Weston, Bartlett has overseen a successful spell, including promotion to National League South. The Seagulls are currently flying high at the top end of the table.

Bartlett’s achievements there have put him at the top of Yeovil’s shortlist as they seek a new manager to guide the Glovers forward.
