Slimbridge co-manager Adam Coyle heaped praise on his in-form side after they snatched a dramatic 3-2 win over Worcester Raiders at Sixways.
In this Hellenic Premier Division clash, play-off chasing Swans nosed ahead on 20 minutes through George Neill, but Raiders notched parity just 10 minutes later – Zaq Hussain striking. Slimbridge regained the lead three minutes later as Neill bagged his second.
After the break, Worcester made it 2-2 on the hour through Daniele Reka. With two minutes to go Harrison Reeves pinched it for Swans from the penalty spot after Neill had been upended.
“We are really pleased with the result, but I was delighted with the overall performance,” said a delighted Coyle, who tempered this by saying: “The two goals they scored aren’t great from our perspective, but we have gone to a really tough place to go and controlled large spells of the game and would’ve felt hard done by if we didn’t take the three points.”
Coyle remained measured despite Slimbridge’s red-hot form: “We are in a good run of form at the moment with four league wins in a row, but we know not take our eyes off the ball, take each game as it comes and just stay focused on performances and results and then the league table will take care of itself.”
