Goodbye 2021, hello 2022: former England and Gloucestershire cricketer Jack Russell

Former England and Gloucestershire cricketer Jack Russell reveals his memorable moments from 2021 and hopes for 2022.

What was most memorable about 2021?

Having the crowds back at cricket matches and other sporting events. Boy, did all those connected and who love sport need it!

What are your hopes and plans for 2022?

I hope Gloucestershire, with Steve Snell, at the helm and a new coach can push on and win a trophy or two that such a good group of players deserve. The problem is other teams will be doing the same, so you have to earn it – that’s the thrill of the challenge.

Personally, I’ll be painting, and painting, and painting……….that’s heaven for me.
