Forest Green fan Chris Gardner has produced a book to chart Forest Green’s race to the League Two title last season.
They’ve done it again, is the story of FGR’s historic season starting in the summer of June 2021 and ending on a dramatic last day to claim the League Two title.
It is based on Chris’s monthly Supporters Club diary plus stories from FGR Supporters who’ve also contributed to 130 colour photos that enhance the narrative. The picture revealed is the whole Club: the men’s & women’s teams, FGR Community and the Academy.
Chris said: “We FGR supporters are so proud of our tiny club’s achievements and I wanted to record the remarkable season tangibly. Also, many of us had been impressed by the quality of the young FGR Women’s team who play their matches on Sunday. What better than to record Rovers’ EFL2 triumph and raise money for the women’s team’s development? That was the inspiration for
the book, helped by so many tales and photos from FGR supporters in an amazing 20 countries.”
The book & bundle are not for profit. All revenue from sales will go to FGR women’s and development teams. To maximise revenue, Chris & his team have
given their time free & have self-published the volume. The only deduction from revenues passed to FGR Women’s FC will be the print cost of the paperback copies.
